Lost

Lost and a long way from home
I have forgotten when I first realised
I was lost;
it wasn't really that I had forgotten you,
you were always there
somewhere in the background
sometimes up front;
I tried to remember you
in my many peculiar ways;
funny thing though
in all those peculiar attempts to remember
I never did feel very real,
nor did I feel your presence
comforting me in my time of need,
or guiding me through my grief;
I tried so hard to find you
to be with you
to feel you
to know you;
I cried for you with all my heart,
I knew you were somewhere
but rarely did you seem to be with me.
Then I realised I was lost,
there wasn't any more that I could do
to make you come to me
to make me feel at home.
the world became a very lonely place;
I tried to make it shine
with the beauty that you showed me,
but all of my efforts came to nothing;
they were not you.
Yet you are somewhere here
and I am lost,
I don't know how to find you.
please come back to me;
show me your warmth and beauty;
show me how to live again.
be with me now,
share your love and comfort with me;
show me that you care
as you care for every living thing.
Let your light shine upon me;
bring rest to my weary soul,
I don't want to be lost anymore.
I want to be with you
always.

The Law

Above us all is a greater law
not a law where fear prevails
not a law that derives from greed
not a law that denies our need;
one people we walk this earth
where no differences prevail
born free to love and care
the very things we all share.

above us all this greater law
tells men to have no fear
your neighbour is not a threat
your neighbour will not put you into debt;

above us all this greater law
tells men there is no need for greed
the things we need abound
there is enough to go around;

above us all this greater law
tells men they don't need power
what man can judge another?
who really is his brother?

let us all live in peace
stop telling us how to live our lives
thIS earth is not a prison
we are all born with wisdom;

JUSTICE LIES WITHIN MENS HEARTS
WHO NEED NOT LIVE IN FEAR
YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOOSE
GIVE ME THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE
